Visitation will be held Wednesday, Maat 1:00 p.m. Norma passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Mawhere she will have no more sickness, pain or worry. Watts is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of General Pediatrics at Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Preceding her in death were her parents two sisters, Georgia Fox, husband Clifford and Kathleen Kennon, husband Ralph brother, Athel Wakefield, wife Edna and their daughters Bobbie and Jeannine. She was truly "The Wind Beneath Our Wings". She was always ready to help family and friends. With her husband she enjoyed dancing, playing cards, outings at the lake and supported his business with her talents in the kitchen. With friends she dearly loved, she enjoyed playing bridge and supporting the Springfield Art Museum. Today, this blonde bombshell is a makeup guru, Instagram famous, a model, and now a singer/songwriter. Back in 2014, Watts was busy creating viral content on YouTube where she obtained her successful makeup career. She devoted her time to her children through Camp Fire Scouting, sports, Project Graduation and PTA. Chicago native Jean Watts is the newest Instagram sensation for 2017. At Grace Methodist Church she taught Sunday School, Bible School and worked in Youth and Women's organizations. Norma will be remembered for her enduring love of family, friends and all children. She leaves behind two special nieces, Sandra Harrison, husband David Harrison and Alana Montgomery, husband Bruce Montgomery. Norma is also survived by five grandchildren, Jonathan and Matthew Newport, Jennifer York and husband Justin York, Ben Watts and Oliver Watts, as well as four great-grandchildren, Makayla and Kelsey Watts and Baylor and Bentley York. Norma is survived by her husband, Victor Watts and their three children, Vicki Newport, David Watts and partner Sheri Shipley, and Phillip Watts and wife Liz Watts all of Springfield. She worked as office manager for local auctioneers and builders. Norma was the Fair Play class of 1944 valedictorian and graduated from Draughan's Business College. Norma Jean Wakefield Watts was born Octoto William and Myrtle Wakefield in Fair Play, Missouri.
